This weeks flight 1st September 2021 concludes a five leg flight around regional New Zealand in the North Island.
Leg 5 commences at Opotiki (NZOP) with destination Napier (NZNR) with T&G opportunities as per flight details below.

This Weeks Flight on 8th Sept 2021 commences a 5 leg flight following the rivers Danube, Main (canal) and Rhine from Budapest Hungary to Lelystad (North of Amsterdam, Holland). The flight is based upon a scenic river cruise completed some years ago by the flight author.
Leg 1 departs Budapest Hungary (LHBP) and follows the Danube river and will arrive at Wien Schwechat Austria (LOWW). LOWW can be a very busy International Airport however it does accept GA aircraft of all sizes. Please note that whatever runway is in use, the GA parking is at the western end of the airport.         What's it all about?
      For twenty hours this December, the skies over the Tasman Sea between Australia and New Zealand will be filled with aircraft all on a mission to Cross the Ditch.
      An example of that typical down-under understatement, this "ditch" is over 1100nm wide. The flight routes all range from three to five hours flight time.
      Throughout the event, the Oceania's two divisions will be providing full gate-to-gate ATC coverage, in the Southern Hemisphere's premiere oceanic event.
      This is a great opportunity to experience Oceanic flying without the need to commit to an eight-hour flight!

      Waves
      This season's event is organised in waves. Each airport will have a three-to-four-and-a-half hour departure window, during which time flights will be able to leave for the next destination. As the window closes, the departure window will open at the next destination.
      Given each of the flights is 3 - 4.5hrs in length, the previous wave's flights will be arriving at the same airport as the next wave departs, maximising the amount of traffic at each airport.
      NOTE: in order to ensure that you have ATC coverage throughout your flight, you MUST fly the wave route that is active at the time of your departure.
      The individual routes are designed to ensure as much opposing traffic enroute as possible.
      Each flight passes from one Oceania division to the other, and the result is six mini-flyins over the course of twenty hours!

      By far our most popular of all the weekly events, on any given Monday you'll find the famous "J-Curve" between Melbourne and Sydney well serviced by both pilots and ATC.
      Not to be confused with out Spilled Milk Run Monday events held on the last Monday of every month, pilots can expect ATC services as you fly between Melbourne and Sydney, or any destination in between (Canberra, Albury etc).
      Traffic Levels usually begin to pick up around 0800z and peak between 0900-1030z.

      This Weeks Flight on 8th December 2021 is a flight around the Spanish Baeleric Islands of Majorca and Minorca. The flight departs Ses Salines (LESF) located on the southern section of the island of Majorca and will basically circumnavigate the island anti clockwise albeit with a discretionary additional leg to the smaller island of Minorca to the east with a few T&G's on route. The flight will arrive at the well known capital of Palma, Majorca.
