
Uluru and the Olgas Revisited
This scenic adventure sees us taking off from Ayers Rock [Connellan] Airport for a scenic flight over Uluru and the Olgas. We will be guided by standard procedure as laid out in the ERSA for scenic flights to Uluru and the Olgas. Even though this will be a short flight,it will require you to follow a standard route,fly required altitudes and make standards calls.

Piolts operating scenic flights over the Rock and the Olgas are requested to follow the path depicted on the associated diagram & as set out in A to H Below. A. Track Ayers Rock AD to "Uluru" at 4000FT AMSL;B. Track "Uluru" to "The Olgas" at 4500FT AMSL; C. Track "The Olgas" to Ayers Rock AD at 4000FT AMSL; D. Helicopters should fly these procedures at 3500FT AMSL; E. Make inbound and outbound calls at "The Olgas" and "THE Rock"; F. Flight directly over "Ayers Rock" and "The Olgas' is to be avoided; G. Pilots should avoid overflying other environmetally sensitive areas. H. Standard rules of the air for right-of-way apply. In addition,pilots are requested to make the broadcasts as set out in paras I to Q below. I. Normal taxi broadcasts as set out in AIP ENR 1.1 Section55. J. Depart Ayers Rock aerodrome climbing to 4000. K. "Uluru" inbound 4000. L. Leaving 4000 to 4500 [when commencing climb west of "The Olgas']. M. "Uluru"outbound 4500. N."The Olgas"inbound 4500. O. Leaving 4500 for 4000 [when commencing decent north of "The Olgas"]. P. Departing "The Olgas" for Ayers Rock aerodrome,runway...... . Q. Broadcast when joining the circuit. |
